Established in 2010 (as the Office of University Diversity and Inclusion; OUDI) Culture and Institutional Excellence (CIX) leads university efforts to build and support universal student success into all aspects of campus life, both academic and co-curricular. CIX connects with partners and aligns university-wide efforts in order to achieve overall institutional excellence, attract and respond to a diverse campus community, and nurture an equitable and inclusive campus climate. CIX is a primary stakeholder at university decision making tables and is committed to ensuring that Cal Poly is a place where respect and sense of belonging are present for every member of our campus. CIX also leads the BEACoN Mentors Program, Diversity Partners Network, and a number of other initiatives across campus.
