ITAL 1101 Elementary Italian I (4 units)

Beginning Italian. Class practice and assigned outside work in pronunciation, sentence structure, reading, writing, and conversation. Language taught in its intercultural context. Not open to students with credit in ITAL 141 or ITAL 1141. Course may be offered in classroom-based, online, or hybrid format. 4 lectures. Formerly offered as part of the ITAL 101, 102, 103 series, students may not earn credit for both ITAL 101 and ITAL 1101.
ITAL 1102 Elementary Italian II (4 units)

Prerequisite: One of the following: ITAL 101, ITAL 1101, ITAL 141, ITAL 1141, or instructor placement.

Beginning Italian. Class practice and assigned outside work in pronunciation, sentence structure, reading, writing, and conversation. Language taught in its intercultural context. Not open to students with credit in ITAL 142 or ITAL 1142. Course may be offered in classroom-based, online, or hybrid format. 4 lectures.
